The BACB started in 1998 and has been a leader in professionalism and regulations among the industry. The BACB ensures ABA providers are providing quality services, ensures clients in the field of ABA are being treated ethically, and provides a protocol system to report those who are not following these guidelines.

All Dream Team Leadership Members are certified by the BACB. We include a member from each credential to ensure we are implementing procedures and treatments that are beneficial for everyone's position .

Registered Behavior Technician®

The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or an RBT Requirements Coordinator, who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.

The RBT is often the first step for many individuals who go on to pursue masters in ABA or BCBAs. RBTs provide direct treatment to individuals and are able to learn behavior principals that allow them to work effectively with individuals.  The RBT requires a high school diploma, and the completion of a 40 hour training program.  The RBT typically spends the most amount of time with the client.

Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst®

The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® (BCaBA®) is an undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals certified at the BCaBA level provide behavior-analytic services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®).

The BCaBA position is often a multi-role position intermixing of RBT and supervisor duties.  Our organization utilizes this unique position to ensure high levels of treatment fidelity and effectiveness. We utilize the BCaBA in field work and supervision activities. Some states do allow a BCaBA to complete required supervision, however majority only recognize the BCBA credential.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst®

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services.

This member will oversee all treatment plan decisions, and is responsible for the supervision of RBTs and BCaBAs. We utilize the BCBA as a teacher to provide feedback and instruction to technicians and supervisees in training. In a traditional agency a BCBA may have 12-15 cases, however our model allows the BCBA to train 1 individual and supervise 3-5 cases. This allows the BCBA to provide a high amount of focus on the clients and staff clincial needs.

ABA Provider®

This credential is not recognized by the BACB. This may include an uncredentialed person who has completed Dream Team ABA Provider Training or holds another credential with in the field behavior analysis.

Our organization stands by the belief that anyone can learn and implement ABA. We offer the provider position as an option to private pay families or therapists with other credentials such as CAS or  , QASP.  We require all members regardless of thier credential to complete ABA Provider training to ensure high quality training standards.
